According to police and newspaper reports of the accident, Sgt. Steve Fenner was the only one not damaged in the car/utility pole encounter. Fenner’s patrol unit hit the pole so hard, it snapped in two. His Model X Second Chance® vest protected his chest from broken ribs and serious internal injuries. The only damage to the vest came when the doctor had to “cut the straps off”.
