Security Guard Krumpelman was on foot patrol in an apartment complex when the suspect suddenly rounded a corner of one of the buildings and ran into him. As the suspect swung his right arm at Krumpelman, he felt a snag in his vest cover. Both his vest and uniform shirt were slashed with an edged instrument. This is the second time Krumpelman has been stabbed while wearing an ABA vest.
