On September 23, 1978, Deputy Saville was involved in a fiery head-on collision. While patrolling a local highway, Saville noticed a car swerving off the side of the road. As he started to pull off to be able to turn around and stop the car, it swerved off again, the car overcorrected and hit Saville’s unit head-on. After getting his eyes adjusted, Saville realized there was fire coming from the left wheel well. He was able to vacate the car with the help of a truck driver. Saville fractured his right arm and dislocated his left hip. Yet, he received no injuries to the trunk of his body due to his Second Chance® vest.
We welcome Deputy Ronald Saville, SAVE #125, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
