Officer Ainsworth was attempting to subdue a suspect wanted for rape. The suspect crawled under a house to try to escape. Officer Ainsworth crawled in after the suspect. The two then got into a scuffle under the house. During the scuffle, the suspect pushed Officer Ainsworth upward where he was stabbed in the back of his vest with a 5 inch rusty projectile of some sort.
