A “bad dog” and a bulletproof vest were two keys to the capture of a pair of convicted killers who had escaped from Marion Federal Penitentiary. The dog’s barking brought Sheriff Faulkner and the search party to the basement of a community church. It was Faulkner’s Second Chance® vest that took a .22 slug and helped the sheriff capture the cons after a brief firefight.
