Deputy Trombley was intent on keeping his eye on a speeder traveling in the opposite direction. Unfortunately this led to his patrol car being broadsided by a 25-ton tractor trailer as he was making a U-turn to pursue the speeder. After the initial impact, what was left of the driver side caught on fire with Trombley pinned inside. A passerby stopped and removed Trombley from the blazing car. Doctors advised Trombley that his injuries (concussion, fractured left leg, and internal injuries) would have been much more severe, if not fatal, if it had not been for the Second Chance® vest he was wearing.
We welcome Officer Carl Trombley, SAVE #150, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®
