Officer Noriega, working with a Special Ops team, made contact with a suspicious person. After identifying themselves, the subject ran inside residence. Once officers reached the door, the subject began firing. The officer returned fire. Officer Noriega was hit in crossfire from one of the other officers. He was hit in the rear of left shoulder. The bullet struck the edge of the vest panel and rolled over to his shoulder and lodged just under the skin.
