Officer Woods, a member of the Secret Service, was on motorcycle patrol when a vehicle ignoring a red traffic signal struck him. As a result of the injury, Woods was not able to return to duty for nearly six months. Several operations and lots of rest allowed Woods to eventually return. According to both Woods and his doctors had it not been for his Second Chance® Model Y vest, he would have never made it back to duty.
