The words “thank you for your vest..without it, I’d be dead” were powerful. Officer Horan meant every word. On the night of July 27, 1979, while making an arrest, Horan and his partner had to fight off knife-wielding attackers. Horan’s Model Z Second Chance® vest prevented serious injuries to his stomach and liver.
