Officer Zagrocki was responding to an officer-needs-assistance call at a local bar. Zagrocki was southbound when suddenly a northbound vehicle turned into his path. The driver of the car was killed in the impact. Zagrocki bent the steering wheel and column on his way to striking the windshield. The Second Chance® armor bore the imprint of the steering wheel. After being helped out of his patrol car, Zagrocki was able to walk away from the scene.
