Sixteen month-old Melissa LeBlanc flashes a million-dollar smile while cradled in the arms of her dad whose hundred-dollar Second Chance® vest just stopped a two-bit .38 slug. Just two nights before this picture was taken, Officer LeBlanc escaped a potential hostage situation by refusing to give into his assailant’s threats. While drawing his own service weapon, LeBlanc took a hit in the right chest area at point blank range. LeBlanc followed through with his draw and emptied his weapon at the perpetrator.
