This “save” occurred at the scene of a shooting, but gunfire had nothing to do with it. Officer Pete Carlsson was diverting traffic from a shooting scene when he was struck by a pickup truck and thrown seventy feet in the air. He landed on the pavement and was immediately attended to by emergency personnel. After leaving the hospital, Carlsson inspected his Second Chance® vest and observed three spots where contact had been made with the pavement, saving him from fatal injuries.
We welcome Officer Pete Carlsson, SAVE #159, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
