Officer Jane Bogenschutz responded along with other officers to a call of a person brandishing a gun. When they arrived on the scene, the suspect opened the door of the residence and beginning shooting at the officers. Officer Bogenschutz was shot in the chest but her injuries were minimal due to the protective vest she was wearing at the time of the shooting.
