Deputy Kevin Statzer and his partner stopped a man riding a bike along the sidewalk. When confronted by the officers, the man fled on foot. Statzer chased and caught up with him and they got into a scuffle. The man pushed Statzer through a store window, shattering the glass. Statzer received severe cuts to his face, arms and hands from the broken glass.
