Deputy Wallace was shot accidentally by another officer with a 22 caliber long rifle. He was uninjured in the incident but unfortunately, in November, 2007, Deputy Wallace died of injuries he received when he was accidentally run over by another fellow officer who was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
