Fifty minutes before Binns was to go off duty, he made a routine “no tag visible” stop. While talking to the driver, the passenger in the stopped car exited with a .410 and blasted the deputy. The majority of the pellets hit Binns dead center in the vest with a few grazing the unprotected portion of his body. Binns wound up “hurt, bloody and damn scared, but thanks to Second Chance® still very alive.”
We welcome Officer Ronald Binns, SAVE #165, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
