After a vehicle pursuit on April 24, 2010 the assailant fled on foot, and Sergeant. Davis set up a perimeter and began to search for the actor. While opening a lid on a trash dumpster, officers took fire from within and Sergeant. Davis was struck with a .45 ACP 1 inch from the edge of his armor. Both officers returned fire killing their assailant. We are replacing Sergeant. Davis’s armor with an HP01 Level II with 2 Navy AJ carriers and an IMPAC HT Plate.
