Officer Keith T. Roach was shot while stopping to take action during a robbery attempt. He was off duty on his way home when he observed the criminal activity. On his approach he was shot point blank in the stomach with a .357 Magnum. His ABA HP IIIA stopped the round. Officer Roach was also hit in both arms but continued to fight multiple assailants. Bystanders joined in and assisted the officer. The Assailants were taken into custody by responding Officers.
