On August 4th, 2010 his team was called out on an armed barricaded subject at a residence in Spring Hill, Florida. The team had made entry on the residence and located the armed subject in a bathroom of the residence and was armed with a .22 caliber revolver. A firefight ensued initially and the suspect was hit once with a .40 caliber pistol fired from a SWAT Team member then Origon confronted the suspect within about 5 feet, and Origon was fired upon with a .22 caliber shotshell (CCI brand) which contains about 165 #12 shot pellets. Origon was struck in his left arm with 15 of the pellets (12 of which remain in his arm today) and Origon stood his ground and fired back with an AR-15 (.223 round) striking and killing the suspect.
