A farm tractor pulled out in front of Officer Bass” patrol unit resulting in a broadside collision that broke Bass” leg and send his head through the windshield. His chest warped the steering wheel snapping it from the column. He was wearing a Second Chance® Model “Y” vest at the time and is certain the vest was the reason he did not receive even a bruise to his chest and was able to survive the crash.
