On October 29th, 2010 Deputy Samuel Parker responded to a report of a home invasion. A convict had recently been released and broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend. Deputy Parker and other deputies entered and were fired upon by the convict. 3 Deputies were hit, 2 off the armor and Deputy Parker in the upper left chest on his Second Chance® Summit Level II Armor with a 9mm round. A barricaded suspect situation ensued and the assailant eventually surrendered. Deputy Parker was treated and released from the ER.
