Deputy Owen Confessore responded to a domestic disturbance call when an assailant shot his step grandfather and was threatening others.
Deputy Confessore was shot in the center of his chest with a 12-gauge shotgun. His ABA® Gold vest and IMPAC® HT plate saved his life. Deputy Confessore was able to return fire and assist in taking the assailant into custody.
