While executing a warrant on a methamphetamine lab, officers were fired upon. Det. David White was killed and Detective Matt Hanlin was shot through the arm into his ABA XT01 armor. The ABA XT01 stopped the round that doctors fear would have been fatal. The suspect was wounded in return fire and taken into custody. Though Det. Hanlin’s barachial artery was severed, surgeons were able to stop the bleeding and save his life. They stated that had he had internal damage as well he probably would not have survived. They credit his ABA armor.
