Detective Nichols reported on a scene where a W/F was threatening area residents and herself with bodily harm. She stated she was going to use the handgun on herself and she would also use the weapon on the officers if they interfered. Nichols tried to gain control of the weapon and wound up with a “strawberry” bruise from the result of the .25 automatic slug fired one-inch away from his Second Chance® vest.
