On February 12, 2013 two offcers of the Pittsburg Police Department attempted to make contact with a suspect at the in- tersection of 12th and Maple Street. The suspect fled and the officers gave chase. As the officers closed in on the suspect to about five feet, he turned and red multiple rounds from a .380 semi-automatic handgun. One round struck Officer Brian Scott near the bottom of his vest. Fortunately, his ABA® XHP IIIA stopped the round. Both officers were able to return fire wounding the assailant, who they then took into custody. Officer Scott was treated and released from the ER.
We welcome Officer Brian Scott – SAVE #1836 to the Safariland® SAVES CLUB®.
