Officer Erwin Toddy

Navajo Police Department Window Rock AZ Saves Club

On January 12, 2013 officers of the Navajo Police Department in Window Rock, Arizona responded to a report of a drunk and disorderly man at a residence. Upon arrival, the officers began to speak with the suspect who turned away reaching for his waist. Officer Erwin Toddy grabbed the suspect’s arm but the suspect pulled a 9mm semi auto from his waist and began firing at the officers. Officer Toddy was hit less than an inch from the edge of his armor in the lower abdomen area and was able to stay in the fight and return fire because his Second Chance® (04/05) Monarch Summit® stopped the round. Officer Toddy wounded the suspect and took him into custody.

We welcome Officer Erwin Toddy, SAVE #1840, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
