On July 9, 2012 Agent Alejandro Yague of the Unidad Brigada Móvil in Bizkaia, Spain responded to a bank robbery in progress with six hostages at the Donostia-San Sebastian branch in Madrid. While the agent was attempting to stop the crime, one of the robbery suspects opened fire and Agent Yague was struck in the spleen area. His ABA® FLX-SK 1-5 stopped the round and the agent was able to stay in the fight and return fire, fatally wounding the suspect. All of the hostages were unharmed and Agent Alejandro Yague is back on full duty. He credits his ABA FLX-SK1-5 with saving his life.
