On July 12, 2013, Officer Daniel Rogers of the Cobb County Police Department was on patrol in the area of the Concord Chase Apartments when he became engaged in a foot pursuit of a suspect. As the officer closed the distance, the suspect fell to the ground and Officer Rogers moved over him to take him into custody. When the suspect rolled over to his back, he revealed a .38 revolver and shot Officer Rogers in the center of his chest. Officer Rogers’ ABA® Xtreme® XTF Level II vest and IMPACTM HT plate stopped the rounds. The assailant was able to flee the scene and a manhunt is currently under way. Officer Rogers was treated and released from the hospital and is back on full duty.
We welcome Officer Daniel “Danny” Rogers, SAVE #1860, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
