Little Rock Police Department Little Rock AR Saves Club

During the early morning hours of July 14, 1980, Officer McNabb responded to a possible B&E in progress. As he approached the store he saw the suspect trying to pry open the front door. Before leaving his unit, McNabb radioed-in the situation and asked for help. Stepping from the unit McNabb ordered the suspect to “freeze.” As he started to handcuff the suspect, another person stepped out from the shadows and placed a .32 into McNabb’s ribs, between the front and back ballistic panels of his Second Chance® vest. As he disarmed McNabb, the suspect threatened to When McNabb turned to face his assailant, a .32 slug ripped into the lower right front panel. McNabb dove for cover, pulling out his backup pistol and returned fire.
