On Christmas Day 2014, Officer Casey J. Kasper of the Chicago Police Department responded to a call concerning a suicidal suspect. As Officer Kasper arrived and exited his patrol vehicle, the suspect immediately ran towards him armed with a knife and stabbed him multiple times in the right side of his chest.
Officer Kasper’s Second Chance® MR01 level IIIA armor prevented any penetration and saved him from serious injuries. Because of his body armor, Officer Kasper was able to stay in the fight.
