Deputy Jeremy McCullen

Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team Livingston LA Saves Club

On March 10, 2015 members of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team were executing a narcotics search warrant where a suspect was armed with two handguns.

As the team made entry, the suspect fired a .357 magnum which travelled through the wall, separated and struck Deputy Jeremy McCullen in his chest and side. The suspect then hid among a group of juveniles so the team did not return fire. The suspect surrendered almost immediately and the .357 revolver and sawed off 12-gauge shotgun were recovered.

Deputy McCullen’s Protech® Tactical Titan with MR01 level IIIA ballistics and Protech 6×6 PLT-III-2120 plate stopped the round. He was evaluated by medical personnel and found to have suffered no injuries. The suspect has been charged with several counts of attempted murder, firearms violations and narcotics violations.

We welcome Deputy Jeremy McCullen, SAVE #1908, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
