On April 3, 2015 Officer Benjamin Praster of the York City Police Department was sitting at a desk at one of York City’s Community Outreach Outposts. He had just finished making an arrest and was at a computer terminal writing the report. An unrelated incident took place outside the building, whereby several rounds were fired at a vehicle from a 7.62X39 rifle. One of these rounds traveled through a window in the Community Outreach building and through the computer terminal where Officer Praster was sitting, striking him in the center of his chest. Though Officer Praster was injured in the face and neck by fragments from the computer monitor, his ABA® FC01 IIIA stopped the round to his chest.
We welcome Officer Benjamin Praster, SAVE #1916, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
