On December 14, 2016, Deputy Adam Suckow and Deputy Luanne Anderson were involved in a motor vehicle accident at highway speed. Though seat belted in, both deputies sustained serious injuries. Deputy Suckow needed emergency surgery to remove a ruptured spleen while Deputy Anderson sustained a broken sternum.
Doctors credit their Second Chance® SM02 Level II and ABA® SX01 Level II armor with protecting the deputies’ torsos, remarkably reducing the severity of their injuries.
