On June 16, 2017, Sergeant James Brown and his fellow deputies responded to a home invasion in progress. As the deputies approached the residence, a vehicle pulled away from the location. The suspects swerved the vehicle at one of the deputies and began shooting, whereby the deputies returned fire.
Sergeant James Brown was hit once in the chest and received a grazing wound to the head. The suspects were taken into custody and Sergeant Brown was transported to the hospital where it was determined that his ABA® Xtreme® XT02 Level IIIA armor stopped the round to his chest. He was treated, released and has returned to full duty.
We welcome Sergeant James Brown, SAVE #1986, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
