On July 15, 2017 Officer Warren Lillie II was responding to a violent domestic
call at a local motel. While enroute, Officer Lillie was involved in a serious
collision which resulted in his vehicle striking a steel utility pole head on at
an estimated 68 mph.
Upon impact, the engine was pushed back through the firewall, the steering
wheel was bent several inches forward and Officer Lillie’s knee went through
the vehicle’s dashboard. At the time of the crash, Officer Lillie was
unrestrained. Amazingly, the officer was able to exit the vehicle and continue
responding to the call on foot.
Afterwards, Officer Lillie was hospitalized and required multiple surgeries.
However, doctor’s credit his Second Chance® Summit™ SM02 level II armor
with protecting his torso, and ultimately reducing the severity of his injuries.
Officer Lillie is now returning to full duty.
We welcome Officer Warren T. Lillie II, SAVE #2021, to The Safariland Group
SAVES CLUB®.
