On March 15, 2017, Officers from the Columbus Division of Police Narcotics
INTAC Unit executed a high-risk narcotics search warrant.
Officer Patrick Shrodes was the first through the door when the assailant
immediately opened fire, striking Officer Shrodes in the center of his chest
and on his hip. The round to his hip caused serious injury, while the .40mm
round to his chest was stopped by his PROTECH Tactical MR01 level IIIA
armor.
Despite being seriously injured, Officer Shrodes stayed in the fight and
returned fire – allowing his unit to take the assailant into custody. At this time
he is still recovering from the wound to his hip and hopes to return to duty.
We welcome Officer Patrick Shrodes, SAVE #2024, to The Safariland Group
SAVES CLUB®.
