On November 10, 2017, Sergeant Glen Lucas was on patrol when a fully
loaded 10-wheeled dump truck failed to stop at an intersection and slammed
into the passenger side of the sergeant’s patrol truck. The collision was so
severe the dump truck rolled on top of Sgt. Lucas’s patrol truck as it pushed
him well off the road.
He was taken to the hospital where doctors credited his Safariland® Summit
SM02 level II armor with protecting his torso during the crash. Sergeant
Lucas was released from the hospital and has returned to duty.
We welcome Sergeant Glen Lucas, SAVE #2035,to The Safariland Group SAVES
