In the late hours of November 15, 1980, Deputy Glen Hoyer and his Corporal were responding to a “domestic complaint”. While traveling on a two-lane road an oncoming vehicle crossed the centerline and plowed head-on into Hoyer’s police cruiser. Both cars were totally demolished and a Hurst Rescue Tool was used to extricate Hoyer from the vehicle. Although Hoyer was hospitalized, he suffered no chest injuries due to his Second Chance® model “Y” vest.
We welcome Deputy Glen Hoyer, SAVE #206, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
