Officer Mullens, responding to a silent alarm, surprised a burglar coming out of the back of a home with a TV in one hand and a .25 caliber pistol in the other. Mullens took a hit almost dead center in his chest area. Mullens returned fire wounding his assailant. Randy Mullens” wife was 8 and a half months pregnant at the time of the assault on her husband. Husband, wife and child are doing fine.
