Officer DeMier’s three-month-old Second Chance® stopped one .357 slug from making it’s appointed rounds as DeMier’s assailant shot from his vehicle with two guns blazing. As in many of the other “it’ll never happen to me” episodes, DeMier watched in disbelief as his fellow officer was gunned down. The first volley of slugs came at DeMier, striking him through the right upper arm and grazing across his chest protected by his Second Chance® Body Armor. The second slug was caught in his armor.
