Officer Conner hoped he would never need his Second Chance® vest to protect him. He was very grateful to have it when during a routine patrol, a woman backed out of her driveway, not seeing Conner and forced him into a tree. The steering wheel went directly into Conner’s chest, causing a ruptured spleen (below the vest line), but was otherwise uninjured due to his vest.
