While on foot patrol in a dark area on a Brooklyn el platform, Officer Steve Napolitano was attacked without warning by a man wielding a straight razor. His eight-year-old SuperFeatherweight model has seen many different style carriers over the years, but it was the reliable ballistic nylon that took a 13″ slash across his chest. After the attack, the suspect took off by jumping over a railing, down a staircase and into the shadows.
