Officer Althoff was forced off the road by another driver but thanks to his Second Chance® Model Y vest was saved from serious injury. After going up an embankment, striking two signs and a tree, Althoff’s cruiser flipped on its side, slide down the opposite side of the embankment. The door of his car was the only thing left to his totaled police cruiser. Doctors told Althoff’s Chief that the vest saved his officer from suffering a crushed chest.
