Shortly after midnight, a dark colored Chevy sped by Officer Hunt’s patrol vehicle. The speedster also forgot to put license plates on his car. Hunt stopped the car and as he was approaching the back of the car, from the driver’s side, a fist wrapped around a .380 auto came out of the window pumping a slug into Hunt’s mid-section. Hunt dropped behind the vehicle and dove for the ditch. A .380 SuperVel was found in Hunt’s Second Chance® vest.
