Deputy Tennent was responding to a “prowler” call when a pickup truck swerved into his path. Tennent attempted to avoid the collision but couldn’t. The impact force threw his body forward against the steering wheel and dashboard. His body was completely wrapped around the steering wheel with his chin hitting the wheel and his legs jammed under the dash. His Second Chance® vest covered his chest and kept the steering column from doing any serious damage.
