On July 6, 1982, Officer Dennis McMahan was critically injured in an automobile accident. McMahan was working road patrol when a drunk driver crossed the centerline striking the police vehicle head-on. McMahan was pinned in the vehicle with severe head/neck injuries, severing several arteries, but was able to call for assistance. According to the Chief for the Saginaw Police Department, “There is no doubt that Officer McMahan’s Second Chance® vest saved him from probable fatal chest injuries.”
We welcome Officer Dennis McMahan, SAVE #271, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
