Officer Dickerson and his partner were answering a domestic call a little past midnight on September 5, 1982. As Dickerson was exiting his patrol car, he approached the house and was met with a blast of pellets from a 12ga. shotgun. The spray covered his upper body including his head, neck and arms. Dickerson’s chest and heart area were protected by his concealed Second Chance® Deep Cover Model “Y”.
