On Halloween night, 1982, Sergeant D Wayne Swear received a call of a burglary in progress with two perpetrators on the roof. While enroute to the call, a 1982 Toyota driven by a juvenile yielded to the unit ahead of Swear, but darted immediately in front of his unit, resulting in a collision. At the time of impact, Swear’s chest struck the steering wheel collapsing the steering column. Both vehicles involved were totaled. The injuries sustained by Swear were minor. Swear’s Second Chance® vest saved him from any serious injury.
We welcome Sergeant D’Wayne Swear, SAVE #277, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
