Officer Conroy was called to a suburban home to take a woman to a hospital for psychiatric treatment. Family members signed papers to have her committed for severe depression. The only depression Conroy felt from her was from the scissors she tried to stick in his back when he arrived at the home. The only damage was a torn uniform shirt during the attack. Conroy was able to finish the last three hours of his shift that day. States Cmdr. Lonnergan, “It would have been a fatal wound if (Conroy) hadn’t been wearing his Second Chance® vest.”
We welcome Officer Michael Conroy, SAVE #278, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
