Officer Hildalgo was in the process of issuing a contempt warrant and placing a suspect under arrest when a fight broke out between the two. Several lunges at Hildalgo produced knife slashes to his shirt made by the attacker. Hildalgo was able to wrestle away the weapon and handcuff the assailant. Detective Holba advised Hildalgo to get checked at a local hospital where several more cuts were found and stopped in his Second Chance® vest.
